I am an interdisciplinary artist with a background in multi-award-winning design and industry-focused teaching. Holding both a BA and MA with Distinction in Fine Art, I am currently in the final stage of completing a practice-led PhD. This investigates the transformative potential of Surrealist techniques as a visual language for contemporary female self-representation. My work is deeply rooted in psychology, socio-cultural and political histories, philosophy, feminisms, and gender theory, offering a rich and layered foundation to my practice.

My work combines surrealist photographic techniques with minimalist assemblages, blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion to destabilise traditional notions of female embodiment. Often mistaken for digital manipulations, my compositions challenge perceptions of gender and identity while reflecting on the artificiality of contemporary digital culture. By merging organic materials and everyday objects, I create works that evoke ambiguity, inviting viewers to question the intersections of the real, the constructed, and the symbolic.

My art has been exhibited in group shows across the Midlands and London, where it has sparked thought-provoking discussions around gender, identity, and cultural transformation. Described by leading contemporary surrealist Penny Slinger as ‘exquisite’ in it its ability to transcend surface-level interpretation my practice aims to explore the evolving intersections of embodiment, feminism, and societal narratives, using art as a catalyst for dialogue and introspection.
